Phase 1 – Formative interviews:
The goal of this phase is to better understand how adolescent women navigate sexual situations and barriers to safer sex. We’ll also learn what adolescents need and want from STI/HIV prevention programs.
Phase 2 – User interviews: Following interviews, we’ll develop a sex positive prevention program and get feedback from adolescent women on its content, design, and delivery.
Phase 3 – Pilot testing: Following feedback, we’ll conduct an open trial to assess feasibility and acceptability of the intervention and procedures.
This study incorporates user centered design and the design thinking framework.
